VietNom started in 2018 with its first residency at the Baltic Market, Liverpool.
After this we hosted dinner parties at The Bagelry and Mother Espresso which geared us up to want our own place. Which led to our first ‘brick and mortar’ in January 2020.
The idea was sparked from Mel’s dad who is from Hanoi, Vietnam. Being a chef himself he taught Mel the Viet way. After working with Peter in many restaurants around Liverpool, such as Maray and Oktopus the idea for VietNom was set alight. Peter has 10 years experience working in kitchens and Vietnamese is one of his favourite cuisines so it seemed pretty perfect.
Our mission is to bring you fresh, colourful and authentic flavours using all of our history and story so far.
